The amount of litter left on the beach is astonishing. Each morning the council litter collectors are hard at it removing the debris and clearing the overflowing bins. Beach-combers are also out.

One lady is there every morning and often used to come over for a chat. Her 'haul' of finds was amazing. She regularly used to find: money, expensive trainers, t-shirts, sun glasses, radios, boom boxes, hoodies, flip-flops, keys, unopened alcohol and cigarettes, jewellery, watches, and all manner of other items.

"It's better than shopping" she declared "And cheaper too".

The keys were usually left on the top of a bin for later collection but it seemed that everything else was 'fair game'.
